Dr. Hong Jiang is currently a Professor of Cardiology and Director of the Department of Cardiology in Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University. Dr. Jiang is expert in interventional therapies for cardiac arrhythmias, conronary artery diseases, valvular heart diseases, cardiomyopathy and congenital heart diseases and is famous in China for his excellent skills in interventional cardiology. He was one of the academic leaders and trans-century academic pacesetters of Hubei province, and entered the National “New Century Talents Project”. His academic and research fields include basic and clinical researches of cardiac arrhythmias and coronary artery diseases. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts in scientific journals including Heart Rhythm, JCE, PLoS One, and Int J Cardiol. Dr. Jiang has obtained one national patent and more than 10 national and provincial Science and Technology Progress Awards, including three national Science and Technology Progress second prizes and one provincial Science and Technology Progress first prize. Being a member of the standing commitee of the Chinese society of pacing and electrophysiology and Hubei provincial society of cardiology, he acts as the associate editor for Chinese Journal of cardiac pacing and electrophysiology and the editorial member for Chinese Journal of cardiac arrhythmias and several other journals, and was invited as freelance reviewers for many SCI journals.
