The First Clinical School of Wuhan University includes 20 teaching and researching departments, including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, etc. The school has the first level doctoral degree point of 1 discipline, the second level doctoral degree in 17 disciplines and 7 for the first level Master's degree point, 25 for the second level Master's degree as well as 1 post-doctoral research station.
The School is an ideal place for education thanks to the campus fully-equipped with teaching, learning, living and entertaining facilities, as well as a highly-motivated and experienced teaching faculty including more than 60 doctoral supervisors and 170 master’s supervisors. Every year, we take on the tasks of clinical teaching for more than 500 undergraduates majoring in Clinical Medicine, 800 graduates(doctors and masters), overseas students and nearly 1, 000 refresher doctors.
The school has established an academic exchange and cooperation relationship with universities from more than 30 countries and districts including Chicago University(USA)， University of Georgia(USA)and Humanitas University(Italy). As of 2015, over hundred of Postgraduates have gotten the chances to continue their studies abroad in more the 30 well-known universities including the universities from American, such as Harvard University, State University of New York, The University of Oklahoma, The University of Georgia,etc., the universities form Germany, such as University of Munich, University of Leipzig, University of Tuebingen, University of Heidelberg as well as University of Montreal, Canada and Nagoya University, Japan ,etc. Since 1992, the school has always to recruit overseas postgraduate students who come from Asia (North Korea, India, Iran, Pakistan, Iraq and so on), Africa (Kenya, Algeria, Tanzania, etc) and other countries to continue their studies for a master's or doctoral degree. Since 2006,we has been taking the clinical teaching tasks of more than 200 undergraduate overseas students from Britain, Canada, India, Thailand, Somalia, Kenya, etc.
