Dr. Qianxue Chen is a Professor of Neurosurgery as well as the Director and Discipline leader of the Department of Neurosurgery at Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University. His research covers fundamental and clinical research on human gliomas and has resulted in an outstanding scientific reputation, noted by having been awarded twice of the Progresses in Science and Technology of Hubei province. His research has been supported by 14 funds, of which 3 are National Natural Science Foundation of China, and 1 is the Key projects of scientific and technological projects in Hubei Province. His group has published more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts, including Mol Neurobiol, Brain Res, J Neuroimmunol, Yonsei Med J. He is the Vice Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese journal of clinical neurosurgery, Standing Editorial board member of Journal of stroke and neurological diseases, Journal of clinical surgery, Editorial board member of over ten journals, including Chinese journal of neurosurgery, Chinese journal of experimental surgery. He also serves as the Chairman of Department of Neurosurgery society of Hubei Province, Chinese anti- neural tumor association, Department of Neurosurgery medical quality control center of Hubei; a Fellow of Chinese Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Chinese anti- neural tumor association; a member of China Anti Epilepsy Association, Hubei Medical Association, Judge of National Natural Science Foundation of China.
