Dr. Yiqiao Xing is a professor and director of the Eye Institute of Wuhan University School of Medicine. He is a board member both of the committee of the Chinese Ophthalmology Society (COS) and Ophthalmology Doctor Association. He was awarded a MD. degree in Germany at 1996 . His academic and research work is focused on fundus and cataract diseases. Dr. Xing has received a number of prestigious awards for his research, including three awards of Progresses of Science and Technology of Hubei province. He also gained the first Hubei province "Good Doctors" in 2011 and Chinese Ophthalmologists Excellence Award in 2013. He is currently the editorial board member of the Chinese Journal of Ophthalmology, the Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Disease, Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology, the Chinese Journal of Optometry Ophthalmology and Visual Science, etc. His funding includes Chinese National Health and Medical Research Council and he is currently serving as principal investigator for several multi-center clinical trials. Dr. Xing has published over 200 peer-reviewed manuscripts in scientific journals, including Exp Eye Res, PLoS One, Graefes Arch Clin Exp Ophthalmol, Mol Vis and Int J Ophthalmol, and co-authored 8 books.
